This article provides a list of possible buffs and debuffs that can occur during mercenary combat in Arena PVP and Challenge Mode of Eternal Paradox.
Upgrading certain mercenary skills can alter the buff/debuff is applied. The following descriptions have been provided on the assumption that non-upgraded skills are being used.
Buffs #

| Evasion Buff | Increases evasion by boosting the chance to miss enemy’s attack. | |
| Regenerate(HP) | Heals HP by the percentage every turn. | |
| Debuff Immune | Immuned to debuffs. | |
| Shield(HP) | Gains a shield by the percentage of caster’s HP. | |
| Shield(DEF) | Gains a shield by the percentage of caster’s DEF. | |
| Shield(DMG) | Gains a shield by the percentage of caster’s DMG. | |
| Invulnerable | Becomes invulnerable and immuned to any damage. | |
| Barrier | Immuned to attacks based on the number of barriers. | |
| Counter | Counters based on the probabity when attacked. | |
| Reflect DMG | Reflects damage from enemy. | |
| Avenge | Adds the last damage taken to next attack. | |
| Protect | Caster takes damage instead. |

| Bleeding | You receive damage each turn based on a certain percentage of your health. | |
| Cannot be enhanced | Cannot receive buffs. | |
| Freeze | Unable to act when frozen. | |
| Stun | Unable to act when stunned. | |
| Sleep | Unable to act when in sleep. Wakes up when attacked. | |
| Taunt | Forced to attack the taunting target. | |
| Heal Block | Unable to heal HP. | |
| Silence | Unable to use skills but basic attack. | |
| Stamp | Unable to use passive skills. | |
| Impair | Receives 5% of HP as additional damage when attacked. | |
| Bomb | Attaches to a target and detonates after a duration inflicting heavy damage. | |
| Reverse Heal | If you receive a HP heal buff, you take damage equal to the amount of the heal. | |
| Freeze | Become frozen, unable to act, and take damage at the end of the duration. | |
| Mark of Death | You will die as soon as you overlap with the Mark of Death. | |
| Leader Skill Seal | Leader Skill will be deactivated. |
